Pomella is an Oakland-based Israeli deli, eatery and catering company that offers vibrant food lovingly made by chef and owner Mica Talmor. Pomella’s approachable menu combines impeccably sourced California produce with the traditional flavors of the Middle East, North Africa, the Mediterranean, and Eastern Europe. Pomella offers fresh, flavorful fare that includes a rotating selection of seasonal specials, hearty soups and salads, hummus, wraps, lamb kefta, tagine, house-made desserts, lemonade, sangria, and local beer and wine. Located in Oakland’s charming Piedmont Avenue neighborhood, Pomella is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, with indoor dining, a welcoming patio, takeout, and delivery.

Pricing:

Soup starts at $5.50 for bowl; mezze and side salads start at $6.50; composed salads start at $13.50; tagines, plates, and wraps start at $16. There is nothing over $18.
